The High Awards and Proms 2024, held on Saturday, 16th November, at the Maple Leaf Hotel, celebrated individuals making a significant impact in their communities. Among the honorees was Humphrey Asigbee, recognized for his unwavering support for quality education and his efforts in promoting substance abuse awareness.
During the event, Asigbee expressed deep concern over the rising prevalence of infused edibles and the increasing use of shisha among senior high school students, particularly females. He highlighted the urgent need for education and preventive measures to address these troubling trends.
Addressing the students present, he cautioned them against indulging in hard substances, emphasizing the long-term dangers of addictive behaviors. Asigbee urged them to prioritize their health and future, avoiding practices that could hinder their potential.
He also commended the organizers for hosting such a meaningful event, which he noted helps foster confidence among the youth while nurturing their talents as future leaders. Asigbee applauded the platform for inspiring young individuals to aspire to greater heights and contribute positively to nation-building.
The High Awards and Proms continues to shine a spotlight on those making a difference, encouraging others to follow their example in shaping a brighter future for Ghana.
